Aerologix was developed in 2019 by cofounders; former Qantas pilot Tom Caska and IT expert Rakesh Routhu. It is an Australian-based drone company that provides a marketplace for clients to locate their local drone pilot to complete aerial imagery projects. In addition, Aerologix Enterprise pilots offer a unique solution to enterprise clients across industries, including surveying, infrastructure, confined space, renewables, telecom and construction when it comes to complex data captures, 3D surveys and photogrammetry.
Aerologix has over 10,000 pilots on its platform in Australia.
Yes. Due to the nature of the prize pool being a cash award, pilots must be 18 years of age upon the conclusion of the competition to accept an award.

No, they will be deemed eligible as long as they meet the theme and entry requirements.

Yes. All entries must meet the following criteria to be submitted:
No music or editing
Quality: 1080p minimum (4k, 8k preferred)
File type: H.264 .MP4 or . MOV
Duration: Between 10 seconds and 2 minutes
Lighting: Correctly exposed to light, so it is not underexposed or overexposed.
Orientation: Landscape (16:9)
Framing and Composition: Subject/landscape needs to be completely in frame
Legality: Ensure any local drone regulations, laws and licencing are adhered to.
Submission title: All words capitalised (For e.g Drone Views Of Bondi Beach)
Location details needed to include:
LOCATION, COUNTRY – MONTH DAY: Aerial views of Location on Month Day, Year in location, State, Country.
Example: WHITSUNDAYS, AUSTRALIA – OCTOBER 9: Aerial views of Whitsundays on a bright sunny day on October 9, 2021 in the Whitsundays, Queensland, Australia

By submitting to the Take to the Skies NZ Drone Footage Competition, your footage will be submitted to Getty Images, which Getty Images licences the uploaded footage, and you receive recurring royalties via Aerologix when purchases are made. You maintain the copyright to all content submitted.
